Obituary for Alice Sharon McHugh

Alice Sharon McHugh, 76, passed away surrounded by family on June 25, 2018, at her home in McMinnville.

Alice was born on July 15, 1941, in Sweet Home, Oregon, to Henry Anthony and Mary Lillian (Miller) Kaczenski. She was the first of 4 children. She graduated from Clackamas High School and joined the Navy, where she served from 1959-1960. After her military service, she worked for Portland Police, then for a local attorney, before finally owning her own business as a tax consultant, bookkeeper and financial planner.

She enjoyed traveling, both before and after retirement, quilting, crafting, baking, and canning. She relished in the opportunity to host gatherings with family and friends. She loved nothing more than spending time with family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cornelius E. (Mac) McHugh, sister Joanna Johnson, daughter Suzanne McAdoo, and son John McAdoo Jr. She is survived by her brother Chester (Chet) Kaczenski of Sisters, sister Mary Brandon of Warrenton, daughters Joanna McAdoo of Florence, Angela McAdoo and Cindy Ollis, both of McMinnville, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
