Obituary for Jerry Hubbard

Jerry Hubbard was born on January 2, 1939 in Oregon City, Oregon to Clinton and Helen Hubbard. He passed away on June 15, 2017 at the Hopewell Hospice House in Portland. Jerry attended grammar school in Oregon City and secondary schools in McMinnville.
Jerry served in the Air Force from 1956 – 1960 in Spain, serving the country in transportation maintenance.
Jerry married Letha Davis Legitt on June 29, 1964. They built their life together in McMinnville, raising 3 children. Jerry sold manufactured homes for a living. He worked most of his career with Rex Mobile Homes in McMinnville. He also worked for Les Toth homes in McMinnville and Cari Sell Homes in Hermiston before retiring in 2003.
Jerry loved anything Nascar, watching his beloved San Francisco 49’ers and finding a good deal – whether that was a garage sale or a coupon.
Jerry leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Letha, a daughter Laura Park (Steve) and a son Glenn Hubbard (Theresa). Jerry had 6 grandchildren and a great granddaughter, all of whom he loved so very much. They are Thomas Park (Heidi), Greg Park (Emily), Michelle Park-Smith, Katie Hubbard, Tiffany Hubbard, Jeremy Hubbard and great-granddaughter, Abigail Park. Abigail was a true ray of sunshine for him; he lit up whenever she was in the room.
Jerry was preceded in death by a son, Scott Hubbard.
A memorial service for Jerry will be held Saturday, July 15th at 11:30 am at Chapel of Macy and Son, McMinnville. A luncheon celebrating Jerry’s life will be held after the memorial.
