Obituary for Mary (Pat) Patricia Williams

Pat was born Mary Patricia to Clayton and Lilly, on June 19, 1926, in Elma, Washington. The family moved to Tulelake, CA in 1938 where they had a homestead. After graduating from Tulelake High School in 1944, she attended the University of Oregon where she earned a Bachelor degree. While at U of O, she met Kenneth Williams and they were married in 1949, for the next 66 years, lived in several communities in Oregon and Boise, Idaho. They moved to Hopewell in 1966, where they made that their home until they moved to Amity. Pat was a member of Amity United Methodist Church, serving in many roles as Sunday School Teacher, and in the leadership of many groups. For many years, Pat planned, cooked, and served dinners for the Lions Club of Amity. She loved helping and serving that group. Pat was a 50 years member of the Order of The Eastern Star in Amity and Sheridan Chapters. She was Worthy Matron quite a few times and on many committees for the Grand Chapter. She and Ken were also active with the Yamhill Historical Society.
Pat is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and son Jim. She is survived by her daughter Sue, son Chris (Annette) daughter-in-law Tina, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
A viewing will take place at Macy & Son on Friday, February 16th from 4:00-7:00pm. Interment will be on Saturday, February 17th, 10:00am, at the Hopewell Cemetery, with a memorial service following at 11:00am at the Amity United Methodist Church.
