Stanley G."Stan" Waldron

Son of Walter and Ameila Griffiths Waldron, Stanley was born on February 25, 1924. He grew up in Samaria, ID.. Stan attended grade school in Samaria and later graduated high school in Malad City Idaho. After graduting from high school he joined the ARMY. He was in WWII as a paratrooper where he earned a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. After the war he married Emma Jean Cottam on September 23, 1946 in Pocatello, Idaho. They moved to Los Angeles California so he could attend Diesel Mechanic School and then returned to Malad City for 16 years before making their home in the McMinnville Oregon area in 1966. Stan drove trucks for Morgan Drive-A-Way (moble home movers) for 35 years where he managed to keep a perfect driving record. Stanley was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, McMinnville as well as the VFW and American Legion. His Hobbies include buying and selling cars, camping, and hunting. He liked to collect belt buckles and hats. His family said he will be well missed by all family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his wife Emma in 2008; a brother Walter Waldron and two sisters Elizabeth Waldron and DeLone Reese.
