Velma was born in Homedale, Idaho. She spent the first 25 years of her life in Harper, Oregon and Dale, Oregon region of Eastern Oregon.
She and her husband, Jack, moved to the Willamette Valley in 1950, settling in Dayton, where they farmed and raised bean strawberries and vegetables. They later moved to Lincoln City, where she resided until her passing. Jack predeceased her in 1992. She is also predeceased by a brother, Darrell Knott.
She was a member of the Oceanlake Christian Church.
Velma is survived by a son, Gary Flock of Lyons, Or., a daughter and son in law Janice Wright and Dennis Wright of McMinnville, two granddaughters Kristin Underwood of Bend, Jennifer Homer of Fossil, Or., two grandsons Michael Wright of Lincoln City, Or., Matthew Flock of Klamath Falls, Or.
She was also blessed with five great granddaughters; Shelbi Richmond, Eugene, Breannah Scheiderman, Corvallis, Kelsea Scheiderman, Bend, Kassidy Homer of Fossil and Lily Wright of Lincoln City, Or., a brother Dale Knott of Mabton, Washington, a brother Bill Knot, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her 94 years of life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Oceanlake Christian Church in Lincoln City. She will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery, joining her beloved husband, Jack.
