Ralph Jacob Huit Jr. went home to be with the Lord September 5, 2013. Born May 7, 1922, in Fallon, Nevada, Ralph was the son of Ralph Jacob Huit Sr. and Helen Marguerite Huit.
Graduating from Grant Union High School, he attended Sacramento City and American River Junior College before joining the United States Marine Corps and the greatest generation to serve his country during World War II. Staff Sgt. Huit flew Curtiss Helldivers
in the South Pacific.

He met Jane Catherine Weis in March 1942, shortly before joining the Marines, and married her three months later on June 21. They made their home in California after the war, moving to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1968, then to McMinnville in 1971, where they lived for 30 years before moving to Apache Junction, Arizona. They had eight children between 1943 and
1964. They celebrated their 71st anniversary on June 21, 2013.

Ralph is survived by his wife and "angel" of over 71 years, Jane; children Ralph Jay Hui(Marilyn), Lorraine Ripley (Marty), Grace Nosek (Kent Clyde)Leann Pylkowski (Richard), Steven Huit (Katherine), Joseph Huit (Marguerite), Tim Huit and Barbara Glenn (John), 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and his dog, Bandit.

The family will hold a memorial service in mid November at Apache Junction, Arizona.
