Obituary for Blanche "Bunny" Tiede Haight

On a beautiful sunny January first, Blanche “Bunny” (Tiede) Haight, unleashed her earthly bounds and peacefully passed to a better place. She lived a full and happy life in which she saw ‘horse and buggy’ type travel to space exploration; “crank” telephones to cell phones and computers. She marveled at all the medical achievements and delighted in following politics.

Bunny was born in the southeast corner of Montana in Otter County, on the ranch her mom and dad homesteaded. She was the middle of three children an older sister, Mary and younger brother, Tommy. She attended the one room local school and enjoyed the local get-togethers at Sale Hall where she played a mean fiddle at the dances. She graduated from Sheridan High school in Wyoming before the family moved to Southern California where she attended beauty school and worked in a salon.

The next few years saw much travel. First it was back to the homestead then to Reese Creek, near Medford, Oregon. There she met her future Husband, Willis. Willis’ first railroading assignment was Tracy California, where their only child, Judy, was born. Then it was off to Eugene, Oregon, where they lived the next 61 years. Their last move was up to Beaverton, Oregon, to be closer to family.

Bunny is survived by her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren Richard, Tonya and Scott, four great grandchildren, nephew, Gordon, and niece, Donna. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
At her request, no services will be held.
