Obituary for Betty Jean Mosiman

Betty Jean Mosiman, 75, of McMinnville, Oregon passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in the presence of those closest to her heart.
Betty was born in Wichita, Kansas on December 18, 1942, to Jean and Johnny Mosiman. As a child Betty’s family relocated to McMinnville Or, where Betty would go on to make lifelong friends, some who even graduated with her from McMinnville High School in 1960. After graduation Betty found her niche in the world of finance, working as a banker and mortgage broker until her retirement.
Betty enjoyed many hobbies in life, reading, cooking and baking amongst her favorite, but most of all she treasured being a mother and a grandmother. She was adventurous as well and loved traveling, particularly to the coast where she would vacation and camp regularly with her children when they were growing up. Betty understood the importance of friendship and maintained many, even relishing happy hour now and then with her old high school gang. But what stood out most was Betty’s strength and signature gift of joy. It shown brightly through her constant smiling and laughter, a trait that won the trust and hearts of many and will be forever remembered.
Betty is survived by her mother Jean Mosiman, her brother Rick Mosiman, two sons, Derek and Doug Kizer, two daughters, Amber Boylan and Anni Jack, as well as 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to an open house celebration of life at 13850 NW Pheasant Hill Road on February 3, 2018 from 11:00 till 2:00.
