Obituary for Karen Mae Wederski

Karen M. Wederski, born in McMinnville, Oregon, and attended school in both McMinnville and Dayton, passed away April 8, 2018, at the age of 77. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Karen’s passion was to take care of others so her choice to do child care for over 35 years was the perfect career path. She loved and helped nurture her own children as well as dozens of kids from the McMinnville area. They all would tell her today that they loved her as much as she loved them. In her spare time, Karen loved to sew. She was a wonderful seamstress creating beautiful clothing, quilted runners and needlepoint Xmas stockings which she was able to make for each one of her kids and grandkids. She loved camping with Ray and Angel (their dog), gardening in their “park like” yard that most would call a beautiful, peaceful oasis, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Please join us for a celebration of life at 11:00 - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28th, at 1750 NE Orchard Ave. in McMinnville, Oregon. (Light appetizers will be provided)
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ray Wederski; son, Mark Wederski, and daughter in-law Cheryl of Gig Harbor WA; daughters, Thereasa David and Diana Soesbe of Portland; grandsons, Zachary David, Christian Wederski, Carson Soesbe and Carter Soesbe; and granddaughter, Alisha Wederski. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Erma Andersen.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the HR Hoover, MD Cancer Center in McMinnville or Legacy Hospice Services – McMinnville.
