Obituary for Carol Jean Ravia

Carol Jean Ravia passed away on May 11th at 8:15am at the Salem Hospital, holding her husband’s hand. She was 65 years old. She was born in Portland, OR on February 1, 1953 to Janet (Lyons) and Jack Martin. She grew up in Dayton, OR and attended Dayton schools. After graduation, she followed the love of her life, David Ravia, to Louisiana and they were married in Orange, Texas in 1971. They returned to Oregon to raise their family.
Carol was a long time employee of Diane Foods, and then she went on to do seasonal work at Alderbrook Gardens where she enjoyed planting. Her favorite pastime was being with her grandkids.
Carol is survived by her husband David Ravia, Jr. and by three kids; one daughter Julie Coburn (Doug), two sons David Ravia and Jack Ravia (Jenny), and 14 grandkids; Kylie, Taylor, Jordan, Jacob, Olivia, Austin, Little David, Monica, Ally, Kami, Tessa, Ava, Jack, and Dallas, two sisters; Mary Wilson and Cindy Gulledge, and two brothers Mike and John Gentry.
Carol was a proud descendant of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.
Services will be held on Friday, May 18th at 11:00am at Macy & Son in McMinnville, OR. A reception is to follow at her son and daughter-in-law’s, Jack and Jenny, in McMinnville.
